The United Nations Development Program (UNDP) issues human development reports for all 189 countries of the world. History:- Pakistani economist Mahbub-Ul-Haq developed the concept of human development by his colleague Indian economist Amartya Sen. It is released annually by the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) since 1990. Basis factors:- Human development index is prepared by including 3 points: - 1. Health (it is assessed on the basis of life expectancy). 2. Education (it is assessed on the basis of expected and mean years of schooling). 3. Living (it is assessed on the basis of per capita income) Classification: - All countries are classified into 4 types in terms of human development. 1. Very high human development. 2.
