Let's know about the Indian Magna Carta..✍️

What is Magna Carta: -

 It is a Latin word meaning "Great Charter". In the year 1215, King John of England gave democratic and constitutional rights to his people, which is called Magna carta. Chief among this was habeas corpus.

Indian Magna Carta:-  

Fundamental Rights are mentioned in Part 3 (Articles 12 to 32) of the Constitution.  The constitution gave 7 types of fundamental rights to Indians, which today Part 3 is called the Magna Carta of India.

Its Objective: - 

1. To promote the ideals of political democracy.  

2. Protection against the rigid rules of the state.  

3. Against government's dictatorship.  

4. Political, economic, social, intellectual, moral, spiritual and material development of citizens.

How many fundamental rights are there: -

1 Right to equality (article 14 to 18),

2. Right to freedom (article 19 to 22),

3. Right against exploitation (article 23 to 24),

4. Right to freedom of religion (article 25 to 28),

5. Right to Culture and Education (article 29 to 30), 

6. Right to Property (article 31),

7. Right to Constitutional Remedies (article 32).

Main point:-

The right to property has been removed from the list of Fundamental Rights by the 44th Constitution Act, 1978.  It has been made now a legal right under Article 300A in Part XII of the Constitution.  Thus, there are currently six basic rights.
