  Let's know about  A hichhatra....                         Ahichhatra Location :- It is located in Bareilly (Uttar Pradesh). It was the capital of Northern Panchal (one the 16 mahajanapadas during Buddhism) in the sixth century BC.   Naming:-      Ahi means snake (Naga in Sanskrit). Nagas were a group of ancient people who worshiped serpents. The word khsetra means region in Sanskrit. This implies that Ahi-kshetra was a region of Nagas. Role in History:- All we know and watch in Mahabharat that Ahichchhatra was formerly under the Panchala king Drupada (Draupadi's father).                          Arikamedu   Arikamedu was a famous and ancient harbor located on the Coromandal coast, 3 km from Pondicherry. Arikamedu is called Pedoc in Periplus of the Erythraean Sea.  Trade:- Arikamedu was a prosperous trading port city on the eastern seaboard, having close trade relations with China, Malaya and Rome with perfumes, spices and silk  From Rome, large quantities of gold came to India in exchange for these items.
